Keeping your FamilyWall Home Hub up to date helps ensure you have access to the latest features, improvements, and fixes.
Your Home Hub requires an internet connection to check for and download available software updates.
Check for software updates
To check for an available update:
- Make sure your Home Hub is connected to Wi-Fi.
- Open Settings on your Home Hub.
- Navigate to the software or system update settings.
- Select the option to check for updates.
- If an update is available, follow the on-screen instructions to download and install it.
Your Home Hub may restart during the installation process. Keep your Home Hub connected to power until the update is complete.
Automatic updates
Some software updates may download and install automatically when your Home Hub is connected to Wi-Fi and power.
If you’re prompted that an update is available, we recommend installing it to ensure your Home Hub is running the latest available software.
Having trouble installing an update?
If an update won’t download or install:
- Confirm that your Home Hub is connected to a stable Wi-Fi network.
- Make sure your Home Hub remains connected to power.
- Restart your Home Hub and check for the update again.
- Allow enough time for the update to download and install. Installation times may vary depending on the update and your internet connection.
Do not unplug or power off your Home Hub while an update is being installed.
