Welcome to your FamilyWall Home Hub! Once you’ve unboxed your Home Hub, you’ll need to connect it to power, get it online, and follow the on-screen instructions to complete your initial setup.
Before you get started
Before setting up your Home Hub, make sure you have:
- Your Home Hub and power adapter
- Access to a power outlet
- Your Wi-Fi network name and password
- Your FamilyWall account information
- A stable internet connection
We recommend completing the initial setup before permanently mounting your Home Hub to the wall.
1. Plug in your Home Hub
Connect the power adapter to your Home Hub, then plug it into a power outlet.
Your Home Hub should turn on automatically. Allow a few moments for the device to start.
2. Connect to Wi-Fi
Follow the instructions on your Home Hub screen to connect to your home Wi-Fi network.
Select your network, enter your Wi-Fi password, and wait for the Home Hub to establish a connection.
3. Follow the on-screen setup
Once your Home Hub is connected to the internet, follow the instructions displayed on the screen to continue setting up your device.
You may be prompted to complete additional steps or allow the Home Hub to download available updates. Keep the device connected to power and Wi-Fi while any updates are being installed.
4. Connect your FamilyWall account
Follow the on-screen instructions to connect your Home Hub with FamilyWall.
Once connected, your Home Hub will be ready to display and interact with the FamilyWall features available on your device.
5. Choose where to place your Home Hub
Once you’ve confirmed that your Home Hub is working correctly, you can decide where you’d like to keep it.
Your Home Hub includes mounting hardware if you’d like to install it on a wall. Choose a location that:
- Is near a power outlet
- Has a reliable Wi-Fi connection
- Is easy for your family to see and access
- Provides enough space to safely install and use the device
If you’re mounting your Home Hub, follow the Home Hub mounting instructions before installing it on the wall.
